  • My WoW Characters

    This is for Teefahknee

I play World of Warcraft.  (Understatement of the year LOL)  Teefahknee asked me about my characters.  So I thought I would blog about them.  Alas, I am at work, so I can’t do screen shots of them.  Maybe a “photoblog” of my characters is in the pipeline for this weekend lol

I have 10 toons on my server.

    • Sheryl - level 74 human mage – my very first character.  Spec: Fire/Arcane Prof: Alchemy and Herbalism
    • Giantessa – level 74 gnome mage – guild master for Inner Sanctimonious. Started out as a joke, to have a gnome named Giant. I was going to use Giantess but added the a on the end. Everyone just calls me “G” – no matter which of my characters is on.  The guild name also started out as a joke.  A couple friends and I were once called the “Inner Sanctum” of another online community by someone that we gladly brought into the “inner sanctum”.  Then as a joke we started calling ourselves the Inner Sanctimonious.  I created the guild hoping those two friends would join (since they both played WoW).  They did, but they don’t play much.  The guild grew to about 125 members, then as members started reaching level 80, they would break off and join raiding guilds.  We’re down to about 95 members now.  But I digress…Back to Giantessa.  Spec: Fire/Arcane  Prof: skinning and mining (gathering professions to create revenue)
    • Allieoops – level 62 Night Elf Warrior – created this one as a joke. Had a friend on another server (one of the friends mentioned above) with a character named Allie so I made this one and was going to just show up standing in front of her one day. Didn’t think I’d keep it, but ended up moving it from a PvP server to Eldre’Thalas, a PvE server.  Spec: Fury  Prof: skinning and leatherworking
    • Charmac – level 74 human mage – my second character ever. I was playing Sheryl with my husband so I created Charmac for when I played alone. My husband ended up quitting WoW after a couple months. Char is what I used to use as my online name and my husband goes by Mac online.  Spec: fire/arcane  Prof: alchemy and herbalism
    • Stuffstorage – level 29 human warlock – this was going to be a bank alt, but I wanted to see what it was like playing a warlock so I got her as far as level 29 and did a little pvp at levels 19 and 29.  Spec: Affliction  Prof: mining and jewelcrafting
    • Karalin – level 31 dranei shaman – Prof: tailoring and enchanting (Haven’t played her since they gave us back our talents – so she is currently unspecced.)
    • Gknight – level 74 human death knight – spec: blood prof: herbalism and inscription
    • Analeah – level 29 dwarf hunter – started this character so I could play anonymously without my guild knowing who I was.  That lasted til about level 6 lol.  Spec: Beast Mastery and Marksmanship (about half and half) Prof: skinning and leatherworking
    • Magestick – level 29 human mage – supposed to be like Majestic, but both Majestic and Magestic were taken so I used Magestick, and everyone pronounces it Mage Stick instead of Majestic. Oh well. Spec: Fire/Arcane Prof: mining and engineering
    • Estarien – level 29 night elf druid – Spec: none (guess I need to play her and karalin again to get them specced LOL)  Prof: mining and blacksmithing

I keep all my alts because I also have every profession covered.  The hard part about that is I can’t auction off cloth or gems or anything else, so I have to find other ways to make money.  I’m glad they lifted the level restrictions for increasing your profession status.

You’ll note all my mages are fire/arcane specced.  I tried frost, and kept getting my ass kicked in outlands, so I switched them all over to fire, then I started kicking ass!  Nothing says pwn like a good dose of pyroblast along with hot streak and presence of mind to make this normally 6-second cast an instant cast LOL

Notes for those not familiar with World of Warcraft:

    • PvP means Player vs. Player – players from the opposing “faction” can attack you at any time.  It makes playing kind of a pain when you’re only level 18 and a level 80 of the other faction stands over your dead body and kills you every time you resurrect.  PvE is Player vs. Environment – you against the ‘non player characters’
    • World of Warcraft has two player factions – Horde and Alliance.  All of my characters are Alliance.
    • Spec: – Specialization.  Starting with level 10, you get a “talent point” every time you level.  You have three talent trees and you can specialize in a variety of talents.  Whatever you specialize in makes you better in that area than the other areas.  For example, mages get fire, arcane and frost.  My mages have a mix of fire and arcane (mostly fire).  I chose a double specialization because there are some “monsters” that are immune to fire.  For those, I use arcane magic.
    • Prof: Profession.  There are 10 professions, some of which go together (skinning and leatherworking; mining and engineering; herbalism and alchemy).  I tried to get all of the professions covered with my characters so I don’t have to buy as much stuff (such as healing potions, leather armor, weapons, etc.)

Okay, I’ve been at work for an hour now.  I guess I should get to work LOL

  • OMGOSH little miss caster! LOL….mage mage mage mage lock drood mage mage mage shammy. LOL Are the level 29s twinks? And omgosh…how did you level more than one mage? I love my mage (Tanwyn was my main, belfmage currently frostfire spec), but I don’t want to level another. Hmmm I’ll have to do a similar post and tell you about my toons! =D I say was, because once I got my pally past 50, she because SO MUCH FRICKIN FUN. She is now my main. I <3 my retadin.

  • @teefahknee - I love playing all of my mages!  When I created a Death Knight, I also had a ton of fun with her.  I’ve only had brief experience with pally, priest and rogue.  My mages are tough little chickies.  Get in my way and I’ll blow you the freak up LOL  I was going to try to twink my 29s – I actually did twink them at 19 except I didn’t have a bunch of enchants on them (I had some, mostly low-level) so I still didn’t stand a chance against a horde 19 twink with life-stealing or crusader enchants.

  • ROFL I cannot believe how many mages you have!

OK…today’s post will be about my wow toons. Ok not today’s post. I need to get updated screenshots of them. Make it interesting. =P

I twinked out a rogue for my brother…bought him all sorts of blues, leg armor kits, chanted him the hell up, etc. Gah. I need to learn to love PvP. Indy is PvP God…he drags me into them all the time. I’m getting better!!!

  • @teefahknee - I don’t mind voluntary pvp.  I hate being ganked.  That’s why I no longer play on pvp servers.

  • @Kallioph - yeah i tried a pvp server. that is so not me. especially trying to level a clothie. gah!
