I want to ignore my diabetes!
Fat Tuesday is coming up. You know what that means. Pacski!!! (pronounced poonch key) These are polish donuts that are probably a gazillion calories, mostly carbs/sugar. But maybe with a double-dose of insulin, I can have one (or two). I normally don’t like jelly-filled donuts, but these are….mmmmmmmmmmmm almost better than sex. (I said almost.)
I am marking my calendar right now. February 24 this year.

Paczskis!!! They’re tolerable once a year. I’ll always have one, and then I’m good for another year. Though it’s been a while since I’ve had one. I don’t even know if they have them in Tree City.
Can you ask your doctor about a special exemption?
Last year, my father found a Polish bakery and deli in Phoenix. (Polish Deli…who’d have thought???) I will place a special order with him for one – preferably berry filled, not lemon. Since my dad always called me his “little paczski,” i’m sure my wish will be granted.
@Tyche - I’m sure they will have them, even the grocery store bakery will probably make some. You may have to order ahead of time.
@ExLibris - I’d love to find a good Polish bakery here and preorder some.
Looks delicious. I’ve never seen or heard of them before.
